Toisto Taifuuni

The Toisto down vest is made of recycled polyester and it has a slim, straight fit and the topstitched Taifuuni pattern. The vest has a recycled down filling, a high collar, and a front metal zipper with an embroidered Marimekko logo puller. The front welt pockets have concealed snap button closures.

Designed by Maija Isola, Taifuuni (typhoon) belonged originally to a series of patterns based on photographs depicting parts of the human body. The starting point for the Taifuuni pattern was the curve of the shoulder. The model for the photographs was the designer’s daughter.
